The cemetery boundary along Old Glebe Road runs from the playground by the Chapel to the back corner of the original Walkers’ Burial Ground…areas 4 and 5 in the drawing to the left.  It is a sharp slope up to the cemetery, punctuated by ugly bushes and some sharp pyracanthas.  The plan is to transform this strip between the county sidewalk and the cemetery into an invitation to visit the cemetery.  Spaced along the path will be steps and ramps leading into the cemetery.  In between the access points will be landscaping to beautify the look from inside and outside the cemetery while providing a bit more privacy.
